Did anyone else just SEE the preview for next week?!? I can’t even breathe…Trinity is the freakiest character on tv, ever (before Trinity, my vote was for ALIAS’s Sark). But after tonight - WHAT THE HELL?? If I ever see John Lithgow walking down the street, I will probably faint with terror.
And damn it feels good! Ivy Cat is home here in Boston, and having trouble being nice to Mason (my Golden Retriever whom I love more than most anything in this world). She keeps moaning at him, raising her hair, and puffing out her tail to get him to stay away. She even hissed at him last night!
But, in better news, my family loves her. Sad for Mason, cos he’s jealous - I guess this is what it’d be like if we brought home a puppy! At least they’re not tearing one another apart, and Ivy hasn’t torn anything else apart yet, woohoo.
Hope you are all enjoying the time before Turkey Day!
8) Swallow sadness as Homer meows and judges me with that “I know you’re leaving me” look.
This looks nearly exactly like my to-do list. Except, Boyfriend and I are driving four hours with Ivy Cat because I couldn’t bear to leave her alone for a week with a friend stopping in. We’ll have to see how she gets along with Mason the dog…
“Like love, the course of writing, publishing and making a living never did run smooth. But also like love, we keep being drawn to it by our appetite, our imagination and our insatiable desire for connection to others.”—Gina Barreca in a Hartford Courant “Irreconcilable Differences” debate with Laurence Cohen (Taken from today’s Shelf Awareness)
