Eleven on Top (Stephanie Plum, #11) by Janet Evanovich
Sad to say, this was the first Stephanie Plum novel that felt a bit stale to me. I’d heard from a friend that it seemed Janet Evanovich ran out of steam near novel 5 or 6, and then came back with a bang, but I was disappointed in this book. I don’t mind the books all having the same vibe and near-same plot, but I didn’t laugh over the course of this book. Not once. Where else am I supposed to get my laughs? I’m hoping that this was a one-off, and the humor will be back in 12. I’m not giving up just because this one book of the series didn’t make me laugh, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the books that follow will be just as funny as the books that came before.
